A B S O L U T E L Y A M A Z I N G – that for me would sum up our country flower course retreat, as I’m sure the students on the course would agree?
Sitting out on the lawn with tea and cake (and sun) was the perfect beginning for the excited group of florists (not forgetting our competition winner), to get to know one another and discuss our flowery week ahead.
The days were busy with inspirational wedding installations, whilst the evenings took on a much slower pace – the continual chat and banter brought about much laughter, making for a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Definitely a full on few days, but the end results were fabulous – our photographer Emily Kelly captured the ladies work perfectly.
Stunning stairs adorned with highly scented roses and peonies
A romantic styled function room with large billowing urns and tall meadow arrangements to create a huge impact isle for a bride
and a fireplace dressed with timeless whites and greens
A large scale archway abundant with deep pinks and green hydrangea
What a week it was, the ladies certainly proved that they are more than capable of producing some stunning pieces of work – not only did they work well together, but their continual encouragement and support to one another made for the perfect team effort – Great work ladies!!
Still on a complete buzz from the course, we’ve gone ahead and booked Sparkford Hall for another retreat – this time in October, this time round we will be dressing the venue as if it were for a winter/Christmas wedding. If you have a passion for all things floral, it will be the perfect opportunity to create some amazing winter installations, whilst also updating your portfolio ahead of time in hope that you may secure some winter weddings.
