2 Week Career Change Course Amsterdam

Tallulah Rose Flower School is on the road again for 2025 and our first stop is Amsterdam. In the creative neighbourhood of Amsterdam-West you’ll find De Hallen, a cultural hotspot. Built in 1905 and originally a tram depot De Hallen’s cavernous glass roofs houses a large selection of galleries, restaurants, a library, crafts, the famous Foodhallen, a multicultural food hall. After a successful 2024 course it’s proven to be the perfect venue to host our first 2 week career change course of 2025.

The course itself will include both practical and business lessons, exactly as our current 2 week career change course however this course well also include a visit to the largest flower auction in the world, a large scale grower, global wholesaler, world famous Keukenhof Tulip Gardens and tulip fields.

Working from basic floristry skills through to the advanced we take you from hand-tied bouquets to large scale installations. Our philosophy is to share all the knowledge and experience we have with you. We empower you to create in a style of floristry that feels right to you. We teach only sustainable techniques and always provide an abundance of beautiful seasonal flowers from you to choose.

Alongside our practical lessons we also help to build the skills required to start your new creative business. Included in these skills will be photography, branding, marketing, social media as well as business start up advice.

We are thrilled to be able to take you out of the classroom too visiting the world famous flower auctions and global wholesaler Hoek so that we better understand how our industry works. We’ll visit a large scale grower who practises sustainable techniques so you’re able to see for your self what questions to ask when buying from an industrial grower. We will also visit tulip fields as well as the world famous Keukenhof Tulip Gardens too*

We are often asked what is the difference between our 2 and 4 week course? Our 2 week course was established five years ago, initially at the request of school teachers wanting to learn during the summer holidays, it was so successful that we continued. We can’t squeeze everything into two weeks, however after years of experience we know exactly what elements we need to teach in order that you have both the skills and the confidence to launch your own florist business.

Without stating the obvious, that we have you for two weeks less, the main differences between the courses are; business skills – you are given exactly the same information that is included within our 4 week course however we simply don’t have the time to discuss all the business modules in such greater detail. We use our time together wisely however and choose the business modules that are most beneficial discussed within a group environment, for example, ideas to market your business and where to sell your floristry services.

Once you have completed your course with us you are invited to join our Tallulah Rose Student Forum. Here you will be welcomed by former Tallulah students all willing to help and support you through those early days and beyond!

Everyone is awarded a certificate on completion of the course however as we mentioned above it’s not goodbye! Team Tallulah and our former students are always there for you as you leave the safety of school and launch your own florist business.
