Floral Sanctuary 2026 – Sustainable designs for both church and venue spaces.

Floral Sanctuary is returning to magical Cothelstone Manor near Taunton – and this time it’s residential!

Sustainable designs for both church and venue spaces.

Nestled in rolling hills at the heart of 1500 acres of organic farmland is this incredible heritage house. With walled gardens, church, meadows and woods we are so happy to be returning to this stunning location in Spring 2026.

Discover the art and logistics of sustainable seasonal designs for both sacred spaces and grand houses in this hands-on two-day course.

Designed for both seasoned florists and passionate beginners this immersive course blends creative exploration with eco-conscious technique.

You’ll work exclusively with foam-free methods and sustainable materials, celebrating British-grown flowers and the beauty of working at the start of Spring, giving you time to take these lessons into your business this season!

Together, on day one we’ll create floral designs both inside and outside the Church, including a full archway plus arrangements that complement the character of the architecture.

On the second day of teaching – we will be dressing the magnificent staircase in the historic Grand Hall of the Manor House – where we will also create a beautiful sustainable tablescape.

With expert guidance in a supportive relaxed setting, you’ll leave with new skills, seasonal inspiration, and the confidence to design with meaning and sustainability in mind.

And of course, all using British flowers and foliage!

All floral designs will be captured by Kate Cullen and a portfolio shared with you following the course. All images will be yours to keep and share on your website and socials should you wish.

For all students, we will begin each day inside the Manor House, talking through the designs of the day. Lunch will be shared in the Great Hall each day too.

We are excited to announce that this course also has a residential option – allowing you to stay in the Manor House in one of the sumptuous king or super-king bedrooms (with en-suite or shared bathroom, and twin option). If you take the residential option breakfast and dinner will also be included in your stay.

These bedrooms have been designed with luxury in mind – with soothing tones, organic linens, comfy beds and Neals Yard soaps.

For those staying at Cothelstone Manor, on arrival on Tuesday evening – we will gather for a Welcome Dinner in Grand Hall – this is also where breakfast and lunch will be shared.
