Maxine. July 2026.

Never underestimate the value of providing the right space for people to learn. Aesthetics are of course important, calming colours, inspirational ‘objet d’art’ but I’m talking about how a space feels not looks.

Creating a relaxed learning environment where people feel safe, listened to, while simultaneously allowed to find their own head space is not easy. It’s certainly not a list of do’s and dont’s, it comes from within, from the passion to genuinely want others to succeed.

If you’ve walked through the door of Tallulah Rose, wherever in the world, you will have felt it. What words would you use to describe how the ‘space’ made you feel?

Here are the words Clair used to describe her time at Tallulah Rose.
(For context Clair completed the career change course in July)

“The space you create to allow each person to flourish in their own unique way is so special. You deliver the course with such gentleness yet with perfect direction. Nothing felt rushed or pressured, everyday there was time to explore, ask questions. And although part of a group, I have been able to grow as an individual”

Leaving with confidence is my number one priority, if you feel confident then you’re able to succeed…

It’s podcast release day! Today I’m chatting wit It’s podcast release day!

Today I’m chatting with Sara Pearch. We’ve named this podcast ‘Flowers in a Bowl with Soul’ because as you’ll hear, Sara is a very accomplished potter who loves nothing more than to partner the perfect bowl with her flowers.

If you tap your volume key you’ll hear an excerpt of Sara that went on to move me to tears. And to everyone I told “if you hear me crying on socials there’s something wrong” don’t worry I’M OK! 😆

Sara simply moved me to tears with her words, her wisdom and her honesty. If you listen I’m sure you will be too.

Available to listen right now on Apple and Spotify, you’ll find links to both in our profile. I’d love to know what you felt after listening to this episode and I know Sara would too. We hope you’re able to take the time to pop back here and let us know in the comments below 👇🏻

With huge thanks once again to Lou who edits and produces each podcast with dedication.

Lou is a potter herself and shares a love of Sara’s rare and varied collection of pots. I introduced Sara to Lou a couple of years ago when Lou herself had an exhibition of her own work. Since then Lou and Sara have spent many a happy hour together discussing their love of pots.
I know Sara would urge you to visit Lou @lounicholsonceramics and enjoy her work, as do I.

Both Sara and I own one of Lou’s pieces, choosing to support original artists is more important than ever before.

We all hope you enjoy this months podcast with Sara @sarapearch ♥️

A selection of images taken by me, of Sara (and our favourite flowers) during a trip to @hauserwirth and of course ‘bowls with soul’ captured by Sara herself.

Today is the final day of their Career Change Course.

The end of ten days of learning, growing and quietly becoming.

And the beginning of a brand new chapter.

I can’t wait to see where flowers take each of them.

It’s been an absolute blast, thank you so much for sharing your stories and putting your trust in Tallulah Rose. Donna, Sheryl, Maxine, Hannah, Jade and Clair you make me so proud ✨

Another day to cherish ✨

Join me in August for my three day wedding course or in September for my career change course and experience, well, this….
I could list everything these women have learned a I could list everything these women have learned and created over the past ten days, but I’m not going to.

What I want you to notice is something far more important.

Their confidence.

The way they hold their bouquets. The pride in their smiles. The quiet belief that they can do this.

Learning with Tallulah Rose has never been about ticking off a list of designs. It’s about creating the space to discover your creativity, build lasting confidence and find your own style.

Years later, when so many of our students look back on their time with us, it’s rarely the individual arrangements they remember most. It’s how they felt. It’s the confidence they gained, the friendships they made, and the moment they realised they were capable of far more than they ever imagined.

That’s what great floristry education should leave you with.

Another day of farewell flowers, this time with my Another day of farewell flowers, this time with my career change group.

So much to learn about this area of floristry, from the changing funeral industry itself, the sustainability aspect of farewell floristry, how to ‘be’ with a grieving family, the questions to ask, the information you require.
Empathy is paramount. Job satisfaction and reward are high.

Here’s Maxine @maxine_burton making sure everything is just so with her beautiful casket flowers.
The foundation of this design is sphagnum moss, drenched in water to combat the high temperatures!

Seasonal, spectacular flowers thanks to Sophie @north_star_botanicals and Kate @northumbrianflowers

Thanks always to Sophia @wovenfarewellcoffins for the hand woven willow casket 🤎
