Vicky is already a grower, check her profile @sagestemandbee but wants to grow more, believing 100% in seasonal slow grown flowers. Vicky signed up to put two week intensive so she’s able to design using her flowers. If her first bowl is anything to go by then the fill of Chester are in for a treat! Later this month I’m flying to China to teach twenty students @la_ferme_de_lulu - all eager to learn a relaxed, natural way of floral design, British style! Over the course of three days I’ll be teaching bouquets, bowls, baskets, tablescapes as well as large scale installations, and I can’t wait. I’m excited to see the flowers grown @la_ferme_de_lulu from both their farms in Shanghai and Yunnan. What a treat to experience yet more seasonal flowers, this time in China! Wow, what an honour, I’m incredibly excited and a little nervous too - what a wonderful adrenaline fuelled emotion that is. Thank you Wenquing for inviting me ✨ I will absolutely take you along with me, all the way to Shanghai 🇨🇳 Let me know what you want to see and I’ll include it - maybe time for face to face camera action! I’m always humbled when students travel from far and wide. Valentine is passionate in pursuing a sustainable floral brand.. her vision is to create a business never seen before in Geneva. Growing her own flowers is already in the pipeline after spending time with @petalon_flowers and @london_flower_farmer 🌱 I’m going to love learning about the folklore of Switzerland, a bucket list destination for me. Floral Marquee Masterclass is back for 2027! Join Floral Marquee Masterclass is back for 2027! Join me on May 26th at Kirklinton Hall, the most beautiful backdrop.. Thanks to Gemma @folkandkin_ for capturing these beautiful images of our August marquee masterclass and to Karon for her feedback, as a longtime loyal student of Tallulah Rose read what she has to say about this one day course… “The marquee course at Kirklinton Hall was another perfect example of why I keep going back. We worked on a beautiful marquee, creating a wonderfully abundant entrance arch before moving inside to flower one of the marquee poles and create a suspended floral hoop. Flowering the pole was something I hadn’t really tackled before, and even after all these years of working on weddings, there was something new for me to learn and take back into my own work. And the flowers! Beautiful British-grown flowers, including the most glorious scented roses. Working with flowers like that, in such a beautiful setting, alongside other florists, was an absolute treat. But I think what makes Rachel particularly special is the way she teaches. She is incredibly generous with her knowledge, kind and quietly inspiring. There is always guidance when you need it, but never a sense of being rigidly “taught”. She gives you the confidence and space to create, while gently sharing the knowledge and experience that will make you better. As a working wedding florist, I really value being able to step away from my own studio every so often and become the student again. I invariably return feeling inspired, refreshed and with something new tucked away that I know will find its way into my own work. Tallulah Rose was where my floristry journey began in 2015, and eleven years later, it is still somewhere I can go to learn. I can’t think of a better recommendation than that”. Sow The Seed - An Introduction to Floral Design. Sow The Seed - An Introduction to Floral Design. We’ve reimagined our long standing three day course, but what will you actually create on Sow the Seed? While this course is about so much more than the flowers you take home, I know sometimes you want to know exactly what you’ll be getting your hands on. Across three days, we’ll begin with the bouquet — learning how to work instinctively with beautiful seasonal flowers, finding balance, movement and your own way of seeing. From there, we change scale and shape with a statement vase arrangement, building confidence in mechanics, proportion and composition. Then we work together. Around one table, creating something abundant and considered as a group — learning not only how larger-scale designs come together, but how to make decisions, problem-solve and trust your eye along the way. There’s a beautiful botanical wreath in there too — a chance to explore shape, texture and seasonality beyond the expected. And finally, The Final Flourish — another collaborative piece designed to stretch your thinking and bring everything you’ve learnt over the three days together. Sow the Seed isn’t about teaching you five things to create once, It’s about giving you the foundation, confidence and creative understanding to go on and create a hundred more. Having had the opportunity to work with the team at Chelsea and on large scale events and weddings, Maisie is here to figure out her own style as well as sustainable mechanics.
