Today we embraced and celebrated Autumn here at Le Today we embraced and celebrated Autumn here at Levens Hall. The sun shone and the early morning frost was keen, much like our students! Everyone made a bobby dazzler wreath and a really beautiful bouquet. Thank you for travelling far and wide to create and celebrate with me 🍂🤎 Our Celebrate Winter one day workshop is just around the corner on December 6th and we have 3 places available if you’d like to join me… there’s a link in the profile and I’ll pop it on stories too. From start to finish our final foundation course o From start to finish our final foundation course of 2024 was filled with laughter! The crazy crown catwalk was THE best finale - thanks to Chrissie @christinebottomley2018 for stage direction 🤣 and everyone else for giving it their all (4 times 🫣🤣) head to stories to see the end result (minus the postman photobomb!) Here’s Katie @thornedgeflorals in her powerful pink wonder! That amazing pink dancer is a geum and it’s incredible, almost neon! Grown by Rebecca @silvergreyfoliage it’s like a cliff hanger tease into next season 🤣 Every stem used over the past 3 days was British grown, in Cumbria, Yorkshire and Northumberland. It’s huge team grower effort at this time of year to have the volume and variety required… so thank you Kate @northumbrianflowers Rebecca @silvergreyfoliage Sophie @north_star_botanicals and Jude @blackhorsefarmflowers for delivering the best that autumn has to offer… we can all relax now 😅
Autumn screams fireplace arrangements 🍂 A new Autumn screams fireplace arrangements 🍂 A new lesson to our Online Career Change course, it’s great for dressing venues and private clients homes. Although I’m using spring flowers, I always think of Christmas time when I’m dressing a fireplace! Securing your design is key, no one wants a toppling arrangement! Follow my lead and you’ll be fine, it’s a wonderfully creative design… enjoy whatever season you are in. #fireplacearrangement #careerchangecourse #onlinefloristryschool #onlinefloristrycourse
If there were a prize for how many stems you could If there were a prize for how many stems you could fit into a bowl then Natalie would win (hands down!) closely followed by Liz, but we’ll keep that until tomorrow. Maybe it was my enthusiasm for such a variety of British grown autumn flowers that made everyone want to fill their bowls like never before 😆 Every bowl was a delight thanks to Kate @northumbrianflowers for another beautiful haul.. What a fabulous first day of our final floristry foundation course of the year. It’s going to be joyful time with new friends made and no doubt new career dreams too! #tallulahroseflowerschool #floristryschool #learnfloristry

**Success Story** The most stunning work from @fr **Success Story** The most stunning work from @frenchblueflorals , Charlotte has been doing our Online Career Change Membership as well completing the Foundation Course. Most recently she joined us at Levens in August for our 3 day wedding course. Love a hybrid learner! Charlotte is also a Psychotherapist and found flower arranging so helpful in processing a days work. She quickly realised this was an area of art therapy that wasn’t being explored, and now offers floral therapy classes alongside her floral offering of wedding, sympathy and special occasion flowers. She says: ' I can honestly say that I loved all the courses so much; Following the foundation course I knew that getting a studio space would be the next step for me and I took the leap. My business has gone from strength to strength since then, hosting sell-out workshops, booking weddings and running busy Flower Arranging for Wellbeing Classes. Rachel's teaching is always in the background of everything I do, as well as her encouragement in trusting my style and skill. I don't doubt I'll be back.'
