This brand new course is designed to teach you new skills or refresh a rusty ones!
During this one day wedding course you’ll create a front facing bridal bouquet and a low bowl arrangement but not only that, you’ll also have the opportunity to take your bouquet into the beautiful topiary gardens here at Levens Hall and capture the beauty of your bouquet against the beauty of Levens Hall backdrop. Our new photography studio will be set up for you to capture your low bowl arrangement as your style dictates, light and bright or dark and moody…
Always seeking sustainable alternatives you’ll be creating your table arrangement in a bowl created especially for you by Rebecca Callis, a ceramisist based here in Kendal. The bowls are designed to hold chicken wire without the use of plastic tape – every little helps. Depending on the season we always endeavour to have as many locally and British grown flowers for you as possible and your bridal bouquets will be dressed with botanically dyed ribbon from Northern Hands, another small sustainable business.
We’ll chat photography and styling and how to use the images to your best marketing advantage. Please note that the focus of the day is practical creativity as well as photographing your work and not costing or quotation.
Your bowl, ribbon and entrance into the topiary garden are including in the cost of your course.
* please note that lunch is not included within the cost of your course but the beautiful backdrop of Levens Hall is!
Levens Kitchen cafe will be open from 10am until 4pm and lunch is available to eat in or take away. If you wish to bring a pack lunch you are very welcome to eat in the schoolroom. We have a small kitchen area with a fridge and microwave.
