Brand new for 2023… we’re going BIG on this 2 day course. We’re often asked ‘how?’ when it comes to creating large scale designs in a sustainable way. Over the course of our 2 days together we’ll work in groups of 2, 5 and 10 to produce beautiful designs for your large scale portfolios. The good news is that you don’t need to have experience of large scale installations to complete this course. We promise you’ll be amazed at the technical simplicity of creating a large design with a huge wow factor!
What will you create?
A large scale installation on the gates of Levens Hall – including large tiered urns.
An archway using the latest in sustainable technics.. no chicken wire!
A large hanging installation
What will you learn?
Each design will be discussed and dissected until you’re confident of the sustainable mechanics involved. We’ll talk about how to cost such a large design and most importantly how to plan the construction of each design when faced with time pressure.
This course is NOT restricted to experienced florists it is for anyone wanting to learn a more sustainable method of large scale floristry.
We hope to add to your sustainable tool belt.. have you every created a large arch using just branches as a base before?! We always include as many locally grown or British ingredients as we possible can offering you the very best sustainable experience.
Each day commences at 10.00 am and will finish at approximately 4.30pm. We have a one hour lunch break and you’re more than welcome to bring a packed lunch with you, we have a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave. Levens Kitchen Cafe will be open during your time with us. The cafe opens from 10am until 4pm, you can choose to sit in or take away!
A deposit payment of £500 is required to secure your place. The final payment must be received six weeks prior to your chosen course date.
